What this covers
Returning framing, floors and walls to their normal moisture after the standing water is gone. After a loss that ran for days in an empty building, the water has usually reached further than the visible damage, and drying is where that becomes clear.

After any extraction, and whenever water reached inside a wall, under a floor or into a ceiling - which, for a leak that ran unnoticed, is nearly always.
What the work involves
Sealing the wet area, running air movers and dehumidifiers, and reading moisture at marked points each day until the material matches unaffected material in the same building. In a building that froze, heat comes first: drying equipment cannot work in a building that is still below freezing.
